Take A Stand
Take A Stand is a call to action meant to bring attention to the issue of domestic violence for Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). By taking a stand we intend to remind the nation that there are still countless people--victims and survivors, their children and families, their friends and family, their communities--impacted by domestic violence. We, all of us, should not stop until society has zero tolerance for domestic violence and until all victims and survivors can be heard.
Response is enlisting leaders, organizations and individuals in our community to help. We’re asking Shenandoah County to join the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence in their national movement to “Take A Stand Against Domestic Violence.” To participate in this awareness campaign, take a photograph of yourself holding one of the NCADV printable Take A Stand placards, Write-In or Ready to Go and send it to Beth Ogle at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will post your photo/video to our social media pages and website throughout the month of October. Make sure you “Like” the Response Facebook page so that we can tag you in our posts.
